1st & 2nd Halloween

Chris had to work for the 2nd year in a row:(  So, we met Lindsey & Justin & their kids in our neighborhood for some ToT.  The weather was absolutely perfect (60's). 

Avery was very shy, but by the end was starting to say Happy Halloween (especially once she got some sugar).  We came home around 7:30pm because Shane was starting to lose it. 

We sat in our driveway and gave candy away.  It was a lot of fun!  I love Halloween!  I would be sad that Thanksgiving is next because it's not as fun, BUT Avery's birthday is the day of Thanksgiving!  My Boo is almost 2.

Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch

Drove out to Pilot Point today (hello country!) to go to the Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch.  It was such a neat ranch!  We rode on a tram.  The 1st spot we stopped at had horses that came up to the tram so we could feed and pet them.  Horses, Clydesdales, Donkeys, Half donkey/Half Zebras, and Half Zebra/Half Horses.  So beautiful.  The hybrid ones were so beautiful...their markings were really cool.  The horse/zebra had a black stripe down it's back and it's mane was like a zebras.  The zebra/donkey looked like a donkey on top with zebra striped legs. 

After that we went to the area where they had zebras, deer, llamas, and pigs. 

The camels were next. 

Then we went to Babes in Sanger. 

Boo at the Zoo

On Sunday, October 23rd, we went to Boo at the Zoo at the Fort Worth Zoo.  We met Lindsey and Justin (from our neighborhood) and their kids at the Zoo.  It was a gorgeous day and lots of fun.  The only major complaint I have about Boo at the Zoo is that we had to pay $3 a person INCLUDING Shane.  He's 4 months old!  Sigh. 

But they had games Avery could play and then pick prizes from.

 And she was able to "Trick or Treat" too.  And we got 4 small pumpkins to decorate (1 for each of us since we all paid $3).

She was nice and worn out for the ride home!

4 Months & 23 Months

Shane is officially 4-months old today.  Here is what he has been up to this past month:
*Rolls both ways (my little, OK big, advanced boy)
*Babbles & coos
*Laughs all the time...love him so much!  He loves to bounce and cracks up when you bounce him on your lap.
*Has his 1st cold:(  He has a stuffy nose.
*Sleeping on average 12 hours overnight.  LOVE my sleeping babies!
*His eyes are a beautiful green!!

*And we started solids today.  Apple sauce.  I should have known my big boy would be a natural when it came to starting solids.

Avery will be 23 months old on Monday.  Here is what she has been up to:
*Talks from the moment she gets up until she goes to sleep.

*LOVES "big slides"
*Still a climber.

*The decorations for her 2nd birthday are in!
*Her favorite phrases right now:  "Hi Boo!", "Hi Mama", "I like...."  and "I love..."
*Started saying, "Happy Halloween", "It's Halloween", and "Halloween cookies" literally out of nowhere.  I did not teach her that at all.
*Favorite books:  Spooky Boo, Dinosaur's Binkit (Lello), Twinkle Toes.

Me:
*Slacking BIG time on Weight Watchers.  I have literally been stuck between 10-14 lbs above pre-pregnancy weight for about 2 months now.  It sucks.
*I LOVE being a stay-at-home mom.  I keep waiting for the floor to fall out.
*Caught the cold that both kids have:(
*VERY hormonal.  I'm trying to think when I should call my OB and get checked out.  I have hormonal rages and I don't feel the same.  I think something is either off with my hormones, like a hormonal imbalance or with my thyroid.  Also feeling a little depressed from time to time.  Nothing too bad though.
