31 Weeks

31 weeks and in the single digits now...9 weeks to go.  Shane is still VERY active and pushes so hard by my belly button it hurts.  My stomach itches like crazy, not sure what is going on with that, but it's slightly uncomfortable.  Other than that, I am SO tired of people telling me EVERY day how big I am, how big my belly is, asking me if I'm having twins, making fun of my waddle, and telling me they thought I was further along than I am.  Sigh...I hate people.
In other news, I am nesting BIG time!  I cleaned out Shane's nursery, organized his furniture the way I want it, organized his newborn to 3-6 month clothes in his changing table and hung up the nice outfits for those sizes.  I put his crib mattress in and his mattress cover.  It came together really quickly.  I still need to vacuum the floor, get his bedding, add decorative touches, and definitely need to clean out his closet.  His closet is literally bursting with clothes.  My sister gave me all of her boy clothes, so we are set from newborn to 4T.  I need to box up all the bigger sizes and of course organize them by size as well.  I also found 3 options for his coming home from the hospital outfit.
This is the outfit he will wear if he is newborn size, it says, "Little Brothers are Awesome"...
And this is the outfit he will wear if he is big, 0-3 months, and I feel like messing with shorts.  I am worried about his umbilical cord, it says, "New Kid in Town"...

And this outfit is also for if he is big, 0-3 months, and if I don't feel like messing with shorts.  It's a cowboy romper and his nursery is going to be a wild west/cowboy theme, so...

And here is the crib with his pillow pet and blanket...
The far side of the nursery by the windows...

The changing table...

The closet that is in desperate need of cleaning out and organizing...

And the nursery view as you walk in the door...

Easter

On Friday, 4/22, we had to celebrate Easter at our house with Avery because Chris works Saturday and Sunday.  We gave her basket to her.

Then we went in the backyard and hunted Easter eggs. She was really good about holding her basket, finding eggs and putting them in her basket. I am surprised at how quickly she picked up on this considering she has never done this before. I put candy in the purple eggs and she was able to find it, open the egg and take the candy out. And she could put the eggs back together...my smart little baby.

After our Easter egg hunt, we let her play in the sprinkler.  We had so much fun today!  And she picked up a pipe from her Pack N Play and used it like a sword to fend off the water.  Then she tried to use rocks against the mighty sprinkler;)

3D/4D Ultrasound

Had our 3D/4D ultrasound at Stork Vision in Keller this afternoon.  Shane is DEFINITELY still all boy.  And he's head down.  I already knew that based upon pressure and his movements.  The tech told me that he was "way down there"...thought so.  He has HUGE lips.  He was sucking on his bottom lip...it was so cute.  It was too hard to tell if he has my chin, but I think he does.  And I don't think he has Avery's nose.  So, I think Mr. Shane is going to look really different than his sister.  10 more weeks and we will find out!

30-Weeks/Appt.

Only 10 more weeks to go!  According to my apps, Shane can now dream and open, close and blink his eyes.  It feels like he is going to bust his way out of my belly button.  He pushes really hard against it like he's trying to escape.  He is also sitting on my cervix or a nerve because I definitely am feeling some uncomfortable feelings down below.  And my stomach has never been so vein-y before...Yikes!
I also had my 30-week appt today.  Everything looks good.  When the nurse was taking Shane's heartrate, he had the hiccups, so measuring his heartrate was a little difficult.  It jumped between the 130's and 140's.
Tomorrow we are having a 3D/4D ultrasound done and I cannot wait to see Shane!!  I just hope he's not covering his face the entire time.

Here are all those veins I was talking about...

The Easter Bunny & Pics

On Friday, 4/15, Avery had some Easter pictures taken with a bunny.  I can't wait until they come in.  I was very skeptical that they could take good pictures because I was stressed that entire session.  The photographer had no toys, noise makers, etc.  She just said, "have her stand over here".  Ummm...she's almost 17-months old.  Then she was like, "can you have her sit?".  Ummm...for a second.  Are you being serious????????  Avery was really good with the little bunny though.  I was worried she would hit the bunny like she does our dogs.  But she was very gentle and just petted the bunny and even tried picking the bunny up.  Besides being stressed out about my 17-month old being asked to stand and sit still, I also had to worry about Avery picking up all the bunny droppings...sigh.  GROSS!  We came back 30-minutes later to see the proofs.  They actually ended up with really good pictures.  I can't wait to get them in!!!

Then we went to dinner and shopped around.  And on our way out, we saw the Easter bunny.  We were just in time because we were the last people to take a picture with the bunny.  As soon as the bunny waved at Avery, she got this huge smile on her face!  She took a good picture right away, but I wanted some more to hopefully get one with her arms down.  She was done.  We were honking a horn, clapping, waving a bunny at her, etc.  And she was staring at the people waiting around the Rainforest Cafe...sigh...my little curious baby.

29-weeks

I am 29-weeks today.  According to all my little pregnancy apps, Shane's bones are beginning to harden right now.  Could explain my sudden obsession with cereal.  Nothing else is really new with Shane...except that he is pushing on my cervix or a nerve because I am getting painful sensations down below.  And his kicks are getting higher, so he's getting bigger!  The past 2 or so days he hasn't been quite the partier like he normally is.  He pushes more now and just moves instead of kicking, punching and twitching.
In other news...last Thursday I had the awkward conversation with my Principal that my position was no longer available next year.  SO, I am officially a SAHM again.  I am a little stressed about $$$, but this is really what I wanted.  I was beginning to stress out about missing the first 2-4 weeks of school, trying to pump while at school, daycare for Avery, etc.  So now counting down until summer has a whole new meaning.  AND I have 10-personal days left that I have to use before June.  My schedule for May makes me VERY happy.  I will only be at work 2-3 days a week:)
